HOTTER THAN JULY: A STEVIE WONDER TRIBUTE

Andrea Vocab Sanderson has always wondered what it would be like to pay tribute to an emperor of Soul & Funk like Stevie so for this event she rolls out the Master Blaster jams live in the key of life.  Vocab will be accompanied by Tnahpele and the Richard Oppenheim quartet. Vocab will have a few other tricks in the bag besides Stevie but, he is the main focus of the night. This event promises to be hotter than July, and considering how July has started that's HOT!   Darrell Pittman  'Da Green Lantern' will also be stopping by to add some poetry to the mix.
Seating is communal and First Come First Seated unless you get early bird tickets via the ticket link, which comes with a glass of sangria and holds your seat until 7:45pm.    Cover $15pp

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the MCA’s founding, we're celebrating our city and the role contemporary museums play in fostering creative connections and communities with a weekend-long event. Enjoy free admission and join preeminent Chicago artists from a range of disciplines to pay homage to the past, celebrate the present, and pave the way for the future.

The event launches the museum’s new community space, the Commons, and is also marked by a museum-wide landmark exhibition—organized collaboratively by three of the museum’s visual arts curators—that highlights the museum's permanent collection of art from 1945 to today. STORY JAM BRUNCH- CITY WINERY

Story Jam combines the best storytellers in Chicago with an awesome ten-piece band. Personal, true stories are coupled with their own original songs, which are written by producer/host Stephanie Rogers and performed by the terrific, energetic band.
Come see Moth winners relay hilarious, bold, sexy, unbelievable and engaging stories about their lives, and then hear each story get reinterpreted musically. The band, comprised of Chicago’s top talent, will jam throughout this creative show, and audience members will experience something exhilerating and unique. MAKE A CHANGE LIVE BENEFIT CONCERT

JUNE 15TH 2017

Join us for a night of live music and lit as we raise awareness about human trafficking in our community. Local Chicago artists will use their talents to address human trafficking. The time to make a change is now!  

Contrary to popular belief, human trafficking happens here in Chicago, the surrounding suburbs and throughout the state. Through the use of mediums such as song, poetry and rap, this event will bring together communities committed to addressing the crime of human trafficking. 

Proceeds from this benefit concert directly assist the Salvation Army STOP-IT program, which provides comprehensive supportive services to all survivors of sex and labor trafficking.

CHICAGO MALE VOCALIST RELEASES NEW CD ENTITLED “POTENTIAL BEAUTY”

April 29th, 2017, Chicago,IL. Daniel Stanford, a chicago native and emerging Chicago male vocalist with a vocal versatility that reaches several genres of music,is schedule to release his new cd during an upcoming listening party that will take place at the Hyatt South Chicago on Sunday May 21st from 6:30pm to 9pm. The CD listening party will feature two listening sessions from 6:30pm-7:30pm and then 8:00pm-9:00pm. Guest can expect a live musical performance from the artist light refreshments ,fun, networking, and limited swag bag raffles followed by a Q and A with the artist.

About Tnahpele (NUH-PELL)
Heavily influenced by musical artist such as Yolanda Adams, Prince, Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Joss Stone, Micah Stampley, Bilal, Eric Benet, & Esperanza Spaulding to name a few, Daniel has had his roots in gospel and christian music through his church upbringing. His unique artist stage name “Tnahpele “ which is spelled elephant backwards represents the power and gracefulness of his favorite animal now turned artist name. This symbolism of the elephant is often reflected in the uniqueness and strength of his music.
Daniel’s true background of music comes from signing gospel and christian music through his church upbringing. Exploring other worlds of music such as the band industry, he has managed to maintained his position in the Chicago wedding band music industry, and currently sings as a freelance musician. Having worked with several local wedding and cover bands singing a wide range of popular tunes from the motion classics of Stevie Wonder and Al Green to the classic rock hits of ACDC, Bruce Springsteen and more, Tnahpele has finally made his debut musical collection entitled Potential Beauty, which is currently sold on all digital platforms.
